State Fair of Texas Has Begun

As a proud Texas ice company serving areas all over Dallas, Fort Worth, and beyond, Emergency Ice is excited about the State Fair of Texas this year! This past weekend, beginning on Friday September 26th, the state fair opened at Fair Park Dallas with the opening day parade and ceremony, following hours of multiple shows, music, attractions, food, and all day events. Throughout the weekend, the events, attractions, shows, and more continued while attracting families, visitors, and Texans from all over. This year, the fair runs for a total of 24 days, ending October 19th.

This year’s State Fair of Texas offers approximately 100 daily performances which are all included in the admission price. Live music is being performed throughout the fairgrounds; no matter what type of music you and your group like most, the fair has something you will enjoy. The main, headliner concerts are all held on the Chevy Main Stage, while other performances will take place in the State Fair Wine Garden as well as other daily shows at the fair like pig races and BMX bike shows. The State Fair of Texas this year will present vast programs including interactive activities, animal performances, and thrilling stunt shows. The two fair traditions, the Starlight Parade and the Illumination Sensation, continue this year which start up once the sun goes down and can be enjoyed each night. No matter the age of your family members, there are nearly 277 acres of family-friendly activities and performances to keep your whole family entertained and engaged in the festivities.

When you arrive at the State Fair of Texas this year, don’t be overwhelmed with all the different attractions throughout the park; simply check out the daily top ten list to help you narrow down the types of entertainment that you should hit. From the Chevy Main Stage to the auto shows to the culture, shopping and endless food options, there’s something for you and your group to enjoy no matter what days you plan to attend. For adults, you’ll definitely want to check out the beer garden and the wine garden and the whole group will enjoy the indulging new foods for 2014.

Whether you are new to Texas, visiting for a few days or a home grown Texan, the State Fair of Texas is the place to be this season. If you plan to attend the state fair multiple times, your best option is to purchase the season pass online or at your local Kroger store, but if you only attend one or two times then the general admission tickets will do just fine. You can also purchase food and ride coupons at the park or purchase online in sheets of 20 coupons.
