Emergency Ice: Ideas for Easter Celebrations

Artificial Snow at home

Easter is coming and as you plan your family get together, try to go beyond the typical Easter egg hunt. Here at Emergency Ice, we have tons of ideas for you to make this Easter fun, memorable, and elegant, no matter what kind of event you’re throwing.

Church Events

If you’re a part of the committee for planning the year’s events, try suggesting outreach during Easter. Weeks before the day, get the word out to people at work or your neighbors by making a preemptive strike. Make goodie bags filled with jelly beans, Peeps, and wrapped chocolates, then add an evangelistic booklet or a pamphlet with your church information in the package. Go around your neighborhood and hang them on doorknobs, or put them on the desks of your coworkers at the office.

Contact Emergency Ice for ice blocks, ice sculptures, and bags of ice for your event.

You could also suggest giving back during the holiday. While Christmas and Thanksgiving are the main holidays where most people focus their charity, your church could take Easter as an opportunity to give back to the community. You could plan a 5k and give the proceeds to a local shelter, or host a big Easter dinner for the homeless.

Whichever route you decide to go, you’ll want to make sure you have enough ice to keep cold foods and drinks cold. If you decide to take the traditional route, you could always make your Easter banquet extra elegant with an ice sculpture.

Restaurant Events

Whether you’re a restaurant owner or simply go out more than you cook, we all know how busy a time any holiday can be for restaurants. In addition to holding Easter brunch and special Easter dinners featuring roasted leg of lamb and other traditional Easter fare, make the holiday extra special with gorgeous decorations, or hold your own creative Easter egg hunt for the kids, that is, if you have the space.

You could also add a little extra to certain items on the menu, like an unexpected but delicious morsel with the day’s special, or a complimentary dessert for larger parties. When your guests order from the special menu, that little something extra can make your them feel welcomed and celebrated, and more likely to patronize your restaurant again in the future.

For a touch of elegance, consider a beautiful ice sculpture as the centerpiece of a long buffet, depending on how you plan to serve Easter brunch or dinner. Also, make sure you have plenty of ice on hand for those non-alcoholic beverages that the whole family can enjoy, and cocktail ice for the beverages of the adult persuasion. If you underestimated the amount of ice you needed for the festivities, don’t worry. Call Emergency Ice and we can deliver as much ice as you need within the hour.
