Easter Punch Recipes

lemonade ice tea for special events

Hosting guests for brunch or dinner means preparing everything with love and care — right down to the drinks. Like any well-appointed table, the best drinks for spring should incorporate seasonal flavors  — citrus, berries, cream — for a well-balanced profile every guest can enjoy.

From formal Easter dinner parties to casual egg hunts in the backyard, these punch recipes for Easter are crowdpleasers for people of all ages.

Whether you need to fill a punch bowl for a church fellowship in Dallas-Fort Worth or find kid-friendly treats to mix and match with breakfast sandwiches, it is easy to expand your repertoire when hosting for the holidays. You can use these tips and recipes to wow family and friends with your specialty creations.

Seasonal Flavors and Punch Recipes for Easter

In the spring, many hosts gravitate toward fizzy, lively drinks that reflect the plants popping up outdoors. All of today’s recipes below take great care to balance sweet and acidic ingredients while maximizing visual appeal.

Serving methods could include ceramic bowls or clear beverage dispensers. As with any large batch drink, you should source the highest quality components you can find — but remember to put just as much effort into the ice you use to fill the container! There’s nothing worse than a warm punch.

Easter Brunch Punch | Sparkling Citrus Drink

This light delight is one of our favorite punch recipes for Easter. It’s highly refreshing, with just enough sweetness from the ginger ale to balance out the tartness of the pineapple. We love serving this with quiche or glazed ham as an unexpected brunch option.

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1 can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 2 liters ginger ale

Directions

  1. Pour pineapple juice and thawed OJ concentrate into a punch bowl.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Add ginger ale just before serving.
  4. Garnish with orange and lemon slices.
  5. Fill with ice cubes and enjoy!

Tip: Using real fruit adds more depth to the final product and lets your guests smell the different components as they take each sip. If you’re mixing this up for a crowd, keep your ginger ale in the refrigerator until the last possible moment. A flat soda can detract from the fizzy flavors, so keeping it extra-cool will ensure your sparkle is high-quality, from the first guest to the last.

Lemonade Ice Tea | Refreshing Classic

Iced tea may be associated with summertime, but sweet tea is an underrated option for your spread, too. This Lemonade Ice Tea combination has an earthy, rooted flavor and works wonderfully as an “in-between” drink. Not too lemony, not too savory.

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon brewed black tea (bag or loose leaf)
  • 2 cups lemonade
  • Small handful fresh mint leaves, roughly chopped
  • Honey/agave (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare 1 gallon of tea and allow to cool to room temperature.
  2. Add 2 cups of lemonade or fresh squeezed lemon juice mixed with simple syrup.
  3. Stir in fresh mint leaves.
  4. Add honey/agave if you prefer a sweeter final product. Do this while the tea is still warm to ensure it mixes evenly.
  5. Serve in tall glasses with a mint sprig and long lemon twist.

Tip: Crushed ice melts much faster than its larger counterpart. Before filling your ice bowl, consider using large square ice cubes to help prolong the tea’s lifespan. You may want to partner with an ice company near you and ask about their different types of frozen media, so you can find the perfect ice delivery solution.

Easter Punch | Berries and Lime

On second thought, this might be our absolute favorite punch for Easter, because it’s beautiful as well as tasty. It plays on the pinks and reds you see in spring bouquets. It is extremely berry-forward, but the lime gives it just enough kick to keep you coming back for more. This recipe is designed to wow when displayed in a clear glass dispenser.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart cranberry juice
  • 1 quart raspberry lemonade
  • ½ cup lime juice, fresh squeezed
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 liter sparkling water or soda

Directions

  1. Mix together juice and lemonade in a large pitcher.
  2. Add lime juice.
  3. Gently fold in raspberries and sliced strawberries.
  4. Top with sparkling water or soda for a low-cal option.

Delicious and unique, this is an ideal recipe if you’re looking for easter mocktails that don’t taste like they’re missing an ingredient. The berries will break down over time and continue to flavor the punch — the longer this sits, the better it tastes!

Tip: Freeze some Easter Punch in ice cube trays or ice ring molds prior to the event. Use these “pucks” to chill your punch, instead of traditional ice cubes. They can melt without diluting the flavor of your drink.

Rainbow Sherbet Punch | Creamy Dessert-In-A-Glass

Kids love this, the Rainbow Sherbert Punch, because it tastes like a dessert — but don’t feel bad enjoying it yourself! Layered scoops of sherbet + lemon lime soda = a colorful “rainbow” of creamy punch as the ice melts.

Ingredients

  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda
  • 1 quart pineapple juice
  • Rainbow sherbet scoops (lime, orange, raspberry)

Directions

  1. Pour soda and pineapple juice into a punch bowl and stir slowly.
  2. Spoon scoops of sherbet on top of the liquid.
  3. Do not stir. The top layer will create a foamy punch as the sherbet reacts with the soda.
  4. Enjoy!

Tip: This beverage is very busy-looking — you’ll want to limit your garnish to the sherbet itself. Coordinate with your ice supplier to use large, square cubes so you can layer this punch in a beautiful glass dispenser.

Cotton Candy Punch | Fun Filled Twist

A punch made with cotton candy! Who wouldn’t want to sip on cotton candy? To make this pastel-colored punch dazzle, we use blue cotton candy and white grape juice. Let guests put the candy in the glass themselves with a straw, and watch the color transform right in front of their eyes!

Ingredients

  • Cream soda or white grape juice, chilled
  • Blue or pink cotton candy

Directions

  1. Fill each glass with soda/juice.
  2. Place cotton candy on top of the glass just before serving.
  3. Have guests push the cotton candy into the liquid with their straw.
